Here we are at the 7th benefit to your resistance training – the secret to longevity (and I think feeling great in the moment!).
Today’s benefit is an important one to me because for years I have struggled with digestive issues. But, like any struggle – I gained so much more and that is specifically GUT HEALTH.
Working with an expert gut health naturopath has been life changing for me. Now, I know the food/drink triggers that create havoc in my digestive system and what to do to keep my microbiome healthy.
Your gut microbiome, composed of trillions of microorganisms residing in the digestive tract, plays a pivotal role in overall health. Regularly engaging in strength training favorably shifts the composition and diversity of your gut microbiota, promoting a balanced and diverse gut ecosystem.
A well-balanced and diverse gut microbiome also has wide-ranging anti-aging benefits, such as promoting healthier skin, bolstering the immune system, and supporting mental acuity and overall brain health. Plus, when we have a healthy microbiome, life is really good because we feel great!
What do you do to support your gut microbiome?
Do you feel bloated or experience constipation or unhealthy poop? These are not the most fun questions to ask yourself, BUT, they are really important ones for your number # asset: your health.
I have LOTs of tips, healthy hacks and information to support your digestive system. Reach out if you need some!
Stay tuned as the next blog is the last in my series on the secret to longevity – resistance training.
To our strength and beauty!
